My goals on the vedic astrology journey

In the previous post, I wrote about starting my journey in the quest of vedic astrology . Below is a series of milestones that I would like to complete in this regard. By end of 2020: Define the field to specialize in. I would continue to get deeper into the astrology, understanding the fundamentals, the branches etc. At this time, I know I am more keen on making predictions relating in the community astrology rather than horoscope, match making, or predicting random events. Thats the one thing to validate and determine what it would take to get there. By end of Mar 2021: learn the Sanskrit language. As has been said and because of my own primary level experience learning Sanskrit, I know that the subtleties of this language far exceeds any other. Even if I dont pick up a book written totally in Sanskrit, I am going to have to read many shalokas in Sanskrit. 2020 - the year my tryst with Vedic Astrology begins ...

2020 is going to be a transformational year for every one, every country. Everyone knows that. It seemed to be going well until Covid19 happened. Economy got shutdown, flights got stranded, shops got closed, offices got into WFH mode et. al.. As things now start to unlock a little bit (nearly end of May), it is important to reflect upon the next set of trajectories for oneself. Here is mine.. I have been watching a number of videos on various topics. But astrology has really caught my fancy. Well, it fascinates many, it fascinated me earlier as well. This time around, I am actually going to do something about it. There are many reasons for doing it and doing it now. India has a wealth of astrological knowledge and from all evidence points to this knowledge being comprehensive, scientific, and complete. Astrology in India suffers from detachment or hate by the newer generations - perhaps due to the oriental influence in our education. There is a need to provide a scientific basis to th
